About Us

Our Team

Meet Franco Biasuzzo and Mark Henderson — owners, business partners, and long-time friends.
We’ve been in hospitality for more years than we care to admit, ever since our days as young chefs at trade school. Most recently, we worked together on the relaunch of the Portarlington Grand Hotel, and Franco spent two years with Guy Grossi.

At The Village Grae, our ethos is simple: good old-fashioned hospitality. We’re here to make everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and well looked after — with a little cheeky charm for good measure.

Pop in and say hello (Mark never forgets a name), and whether it’s for a drink, a meal, or a special event, we hope to see you soon.

Thanks to our wonderful regulars — and to those we haven’t met yet, we can’t wait to welcome you.

Our Location

Tucked into a charming corner of Willsmere Road, The Village Grae lives inside a handsome brick building with “Est. 1921” proudly stamped above the door.

A quiet nod to over a century of local stories, secrets, and probably some pretty good parties. Originally a family home, the space has since played host to a string of much-loved community spots, each adding their own chapter to its story. With its period façade and enduring charm, the building remains a warm and welcoming landmark in the area.

The neighbourhood around us, affectionately known as Willsmere Village, is a pocket of Kew with history running deep.

Back in the 1840s, this was farmland. These days, it’s a charming mix of leafy streets, heritage shopfronts, and local legends.

We love being part of that fabric — adding our own little flavour to a village that knows how to hold a story or two.
